[Staring directly into the eye on the glitch on the dex]
“Hello, how are you?”
(WARNING: EYESTRAIN, UNREALITY)
You call out, staring deep into the eye of the horror.
Although this is just a scan- or, an attempt at one- you can still feel it staring back at you.

The stare gets deeper, and deeper. Like you’re sinking; slowly drifting downwards, into the abyss. You shiver, as though the cold dark of the sea was touching your skin. It’s glare slices through you, and beyond you, forever.

You try to look away, but you can’t move your eyes. They begin to sting. The taste of salt fills your mouth.

You sink further. It’s gaze breaches the surface, but you only fall deeper and deeper. A wave of sorrow washes over you. Your heart feels heavy in your chest, every beat a challenge. It only gets darker, and you lose track of your surroundings. Your extremities go numb.

The eye looks back. But this time, it engulfs your vision, and you begin to feel as though you are being lifted from your body. You are filled with a dream-like euphoria, and float higher and higher. You feel as though you are drifting to sleep, and you close your eyes, settling into a death-like slumber. All goes numb. You float, shapeless and thoughtless for what feels like forever.
Like breaching the surface, you feel a wave of cold air hit your wet skin. You recognize the feeling and remember leaving the womb, breathing your first breath of fresh air and drinking the last drop of your mothers’ blood, before a doctor severs the connection between you and the darkness from which you came. You begin to softly cry.
You open your eyes, and you are exactly where you started. Seated before the professor’s computer, staring at the screen.

There is nothing but an absence.
