possiblyfunny:
Hey, guys! I just had a question that’s been lingering in my mind for awhile. Hope you don’t mind me asking.

I know that we, the Players, take on the role of the ‘Assistant’ throughout the story of Missing Numbers. But the Assistant is very clearly a person, sort of like our own “player character” in a way. It’s through this character, that we project ourselves onto, that we can interact with their world in a manner more direct than just observing. But then that left me with my question:

What does the Assistant look like? Red himself said that “you ARE the vessel you're playing through- some quirky little nobody, helping at a lab in the middle of nowhere, who acts oddly erratic and is scary good at multitasking.” But what does that vessel look like? Do they have a set appearance, or is it constantly shifting to match the player?

<strike>(So far, I’ve been imagining a sort of “faceless” protagonist. One that either has no face, has a face mostly hidden by shadows or is obscured by glitches like a lost soul. Something like that—but I was curious!)</strike>

{You haven’t checked, so who knows?}
