possiblyfunny:
Starry, I have a question!

How robust are Ace’s drones exactly? They’re clearly very advanced, seeing as they have the ability to scan for and detect glitches/anomalies, but what else can they do?

Do they have little arms? Like, theoretically, if we saw some kind of sample in the world, could we use drone arms to pick it up and bring it back to the lab for Ace? Could we use them to move stuff around (my thoughts go to the notes on the bulletin board in Blaine’s lab) and investigate things closer? Or are we just looking at things strictly through the drone’s camera?

I was just curious about what we can do, that’s all. Have a good day!

{I know this was a question aimed at Starry, but I’ll be the one answering if that’s alright!}

{This is the drone! It’s built to be non-intrusive, resembling a zubat at a distance. It can rotate its head a full 360° as well as slide it up and down on the center axis.}

{It isn’t the greatest at maneuvering things while in flight, but when it’s sitting down it can poke at things with its wings fairly easily, letting it press buttons or nudge things around.}

{It can carry samples though! It has a limited internal inventory that works similarly to pokeballs, condensing things down to store and retrieve them safely as data- You get a few more inventory slots than a pokeball though.}

{It’s sturdy enough to handle most temperature points, can swim underwater without too much difficulty, and it can get knocked around without too much trouble.}

{It’s weak to electricity- a big enough shock will shut down a camera for a few minutes, and depending on how bad the shock is, the camera may need to be manually restarted from the computer. Grit like sand, dust and salt can gunk up the joints too and limit your movements, so be careful to not get buried!}
